The VJCS Centre reopened in 2020 with enhanced cleaning and occupancy requirements.

User groups are required to follow provincial health directives and our communicable disease plan.

    Membership Fees: $40 Family/$20 Individual

    Members receive a regular newsletter (internet version requires PDF Reader). The society offers Japanese classes through the heritage and language school. Annual special events include the Christmas Concert for Children, Autumn Bazaar, the Bon Odori and the Keirokai or Seniors' Dinner to honour elders in the Japanese-Canadian Community. The Japanese hall acts as a meeting place for the Vernon Buddhist Temple group/Buddhist Daruma School, Vernon Judo Club, Odori (Japanese dance), ikebana, eigakai movie club and Fujinkai (Japanese Women's Auxiliary).
